Job Title: Commodity Manager
Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite).
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099).
JOB DUTIES:
We are seeking a Commodity Manager to support indirect procurement activities focused on Facilities and Construction categories. The ideal candidate will have experience managing construction-related suppliers, reviewing contracts, supporting capital projects, and partnering with facilities teams to drive sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and supplier performance. The role will work closely with Facilities Managers, Project Managers, and key stakeholders to support construction projects and contractor engagements across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sourcing and procurement activities for Facilities and Construction-related categories.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management processes.
- Review and negotiate construction contracts, including AIA agreements.
- Support facility expansion, renovation, and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with Facilities Managers, Project Managers, and internal stakeholders on procurement requirements.
- Evaluate contractor proposals, bids, and supplier capabilities.
- Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvements.
- Develop sourcing strategies for facilities-related services and construction spend.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual requirements.
- Track project spend, supplier performance, and procurement metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with relevant experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, or Category Management.
- Experience supporting Facilities, Construction, Capital Projects, or Contractor Services categories.
- Strong contract review and negotiation experience.
- Hands-on experience with AIA contracts.
