Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown unit requiring a TX or compact license and at least one year of cardiac experience.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown Intermediate Care unit
• Care for patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope
• Support patients undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization, Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR procedures
• Unit may overflow to general med/surg or non-cardiac patients as needed
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment
• First to float to Med/Surg if needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct cardiac and telemetry nursing care in a fast-paced stepdown environment

• Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong cardiac experience and a willingness to train others
• Radius rule applies which allows local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• COVID vaccination is not required
