Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify developmental delays or disabilities in children, documenting findings and recommendations accurately.

• Actively participate in the creation and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), ensuring that each plan is tailored to meet the unique needs of the child and family.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate progress towards outcome goals, collaborating with team members, including educators, therapists, and families, to adjust strategies as needed.
\n
• Provide comprehensive support to families, assisting them in navigating available resources and advocating for their child’s needs.
\n
• Adhere to all applicable Federal and State regulations governing social work practices and early intervention services.
\n
• Build trusting relationships with children, nurturing a safe and encouraging environment that promotes their development and learning.
\n
• Utilize culturally sensitive approaches to engage families from diverse backgrounds effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will be infants and toddlers experiencing developmental delays or disabilities. Your role will involve direct interaction with children, performing assessments to devise appropriate interventions, and implementing strategies to encourage skill development in areas such as physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Must hold a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential, with licensure granted by the Department of Public Health.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary for commuting to various work sites as needed.

• Strong ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to suit different learning styles and needs.

• Demonstrated commitment to the Natural Learning Environment Practices, ensuring that interventions are incorporated into the everyday routines of families.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience working with children in early intervention settings, including familiarity with developmental milestones and assessment techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
