Associate Attorney

Overview National law firm seeking immigration attorney for its office in Memphis, Tennessee. Must be interested in working on immigration law cases in the courtroom. Experience not needed, training will be provided. However, applicants with experience will be paid accordingly. Interest in civil or criminal law is preferred. Qualifications Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. State and/or Puerto Rico. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the bar. Must be proficient in legal research, word processing and document databases. Must be able to resolve and troubleshoot complex legal issues. Must have experience drafting complex case matters including support letters, audit responses and appeals. Must be able to organize, plan and schedule cases on a priority basis. Must possess personal qualities of being dependable, people-oriented, adaptable/flexible, achievement-oriented, detail-oriented, innovative, autonomous/independent, and have high stress tolerance. Responsibilities Work on immigration law cases in the courtroom. Draft support letters, audit responses, appeals, and other complex case matters. Resolve and troubleshoot complex legal issues. Organize, plan and schedule cases on a priority basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience with civil or criminal law. Experience working with hearings in immigration law.
