Opportunity Details

A locums opportunity is available for a Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric coverage in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

• 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
• Shifts are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Typically 1–2 nights of call during each 7-day block
• Must be available to work with another psychiatrist on a 7-on/7-off rotation
• Typical changeover day is Thursday
• Start date is flexible within the week, depending on credentialing
• Full orientation requires availability beginning September 9

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide care on a 24-bed inpatient psychiatric unit
• Evaluate and treat adult and adolescent patients
• Provide ER psychiatric evaluations and general hospital consultations
• Must be comfortable seeing all ages and diagnoses in the ER and consultation setting
• Telemedicine may be utilized for some general hospital consultations
• Adolescent services include a 6-bed unit
• Adult services focus on general adult psychiatry

Support & Resources

• Typically supported by 1–2 APPs
• Social work and discharge planning support
• Intake team available
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certification/Eligibility in Psychiatry
• Active medical license
• Epic experience preferred/required
• Must be comfortable with inpatient psychiatry, ER evaluations, and hospital consultations
• Must be willing to work a 7-on/7-off schedule
