About the Position

We are seeking an Adult Intensivist for locum tenens ICU coverage in North Dakota. This is a night-shift opportunity with no call, providing coverage during a temporary staffing shortage.

Overview

• ICU only, 226-bed hospital
• 16 ICU beds, with an additional 8 beds available for PCU overflow
• Average census less than 13 patients
• Some patients are managed by hospitalists in open ICU
• Night Shift: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM
• Provider is not required to remain in-house
• The intensivist will provide overnight critical care coverage for ICU patients. Patient volume and procedures will vary based on patient complexity.

Procedural Skills

• Bronchoscopy
• Central line placement
• Thoracentesis
• Chest tube placement
• Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
• Comfortable managing adult ICU patients independently
• Must have experience with the required procedures listed above
