Full-Time, In-PersonPAY RATE: $31.48 PER HOUR
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Knox County Health Department is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resource Manager to oversee core human resource operations, maintain compliant personnel records and policies, support payroll, and coordinate recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, retention, and employee separation activities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain Human Resource files, records, reports, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable federal, State of Illinois, grant, and organizational requirements. Support recruitment and retention, position postings, application screening, interviews, testing, onboarding, and communication with leadership. Coordinate probationary and annual performance evaluations and provide guidance to leadership on consistent, complete reviews. Support employee benefits, personnel matters, onboarding and offboarding, and Help ensure compliance with Federal Tort Claims Act requirements, including credentialing and privileging of applicable employees and providers. Partner with leadership on workforce education, safety, compliance, and continuing education requirements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with at least three years of human resources experience preferred; or At least six years of directly related Human Resource operations experience.SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently and as part of a team. Excellent judgment, discretion, integrity, attention to detail, communication, organization, leadership, problem solving, and change-management skills. Competence with Microsoft office 365 products and standard office equipment. Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and ability to drive a vehicle.WHY JOIN US?
