- Polyphonic Music TranscriberPer accepted task; fee agreed before workRemoteCreative2026-09-19## Job DescriptionReconstruct accurate scores from mixed recordings and validate the result with musical and programmatic checks.## What you will do* Separate simultaneous soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts in a mono recording.* Identify pitch, note onset, duration, rests and repeated attacks; place events on the appropriate rhythmic grid.* Apply correct keys, accidentals and enharmonic spelling when creating MusicXML notation.* Use Python for audio inspection, spectral analysis and useful workflow automation.* Check the score through listening, structured validation or resynthesis.## Required background* Strong Python and advanced ear-training skills for polyphonic transcription.* Sound knowledge of harmony, rhythm, voice leading and conventional notation.* Experience with SATB, choral arranging, score preparation or comparable polyphonic work.* Demonstrated ability matters more than a formal qualification or fixed number of years.## Preferred background* Experience with libraries or applications such as librosa, NumPy, SciPy, music21, Essentia, pretty\\_midi or MuseScore; no particular package is compulsory.* Performers, arrangers, composers, choir musicians, researchers and independent transcribers are welcome.## Location and eligibility* Fully remote, with global participation welcome.## Availability* Approximately 15 hours per week, with flexible days.
