Job Summary: This role involves providing direct and delegated patient care within a clinical setting. You will maintain awareness of normal and abnormal patient parameters to identify those at risk, delivering care aligned with established standards and guidelines. Responsibilities include responding to phone inquiries with appropriate triage, offering reassurance, clear teaching, and guidance to patients. Key Duties: 1. Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery throughout patient visits, ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and documenting history and chief complaints. Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal signs, communicate findings to the physician, and document accordingly. 2. Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams. This includes applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications and logs, arranging necessary testing or admissions, obtaining referrals, and securing consents for invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education materials and ensure patient understanding of treatment and medication instructions. 3. Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed. Maintain clinical care areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterility of instruments and equipment. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required. Work Shift: First shift, full-time (40 hours per week) in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States. MLee Medical Employment
