Principal Associate, Supplier Management At Capital One, our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) teams are seeking a Principal Associate, Supplier Management. As a Principal Associate, Supplier Management you will be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well‑managed and adaptable supply chain. This specific role is to support our ESM - Technology team, and experience managing technology suppliers is preferred. You will work closely with internal team members establishing and maintaining relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers. This role is essential in the delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management‑related efforts for third‑party relationships, in addition to supporting the identification of strategic opportunities for growth and/or greater return on investment. Key responsibilities include: Teamwork & Strategic Support: Support the creation and execution of strategic and innovative solutions to support internal customers that can identify value‑generating opportunities (e.g. savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth). Negotiation: Ability to negotiate basic contracts for a broad range of products and services for Capital One. Relationship Management: Serve as a point of contact for third parties and manage an effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties. Collaboration: Ability to partner with business unit(s) and internal risk group(s) to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures. Risk Management: Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third party contractual obligations. Process Management: Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third‑party relationships. Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships. Supplier Sourcing: Maintain awareness of external marketplace as it relates to your suppliers and perform basic sourcing activities where appropriate. Note: Limited travel may be required. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification. At least 3 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Procurement, Project Management, Process Management, or a combination of these. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or military experience. At least 4 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, or Risk Management, or a combination of these. Experience managing the key responsibilities with technology suppliers. At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Salary ranges: Sales Territory: $109,900 - $125,400; McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900; Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400; Riverwoods, IL: $109,900 - $125,400. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
