This dual-role position combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on psychotherapy and behavioral health interventions for patients across the lifespan.
Job Summary The Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health, dedicates 10% of their time to leadership and supervision, and 90% to clinical practice. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care while fostering best practices within the behavioral health team. Supervisory Duties (0.1 FTE)- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to behavioral health providers.
- Collaborate with medical leadership and clinic management on clinical protocols, quality assurance, and staff development.
- Support onboarding, training, and continuing education initiatives.
- Participate in hiring and performance evaluations.
- Lead or contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, clinical reviews, and care coordination.
- Monitor adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.
- Build partnerships with community providers.
- Conduct bio-psycho-social intake assessments, diagnose using DSM-5 criteria, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy using evidence-based practices.
- Collect and document patient data accurately and timely.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Follow up on referrals promptly with treatment recommendations.
- Engage in face-to-face crisis intervention and behavioral health support.
- Coach patients and families toward successful self-management.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment and lead others through transitions.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships.
- Create positive experiences for patients, colleagues, and customers.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and skills training.
- Demonstrate initiative and effective workload management.
- Foster teamwork and support new team members.
- Maintain open, honest communication and protect confidentiality.
- Contribute thoughtfully to strategic planning and departmental goals.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) required or must be obtained prior to start.
- Preferred: Two years of behavioral health supervision experience.
- Preferred: Five years of recent clinical experience.
- Training and experience in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR.
- Preferred experience working with families, children, and clients with co-occurring disorders including substance use.
- LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC license valid in the state of Washington.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced knowledge of behavioral health theories and clinical skills.
- Ability to assess patient needs and exercise independent clinical judgment.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, delegation, and coaching capabilities.
- Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
