OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING)

Job Description and Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager II, CF, the Office Technician will provide clerical support to the Receiving and Maintenance Warehouse and Procurement Office, at California Medical Facility (CMF), including Business Information Systems (SAP) data input for computerized inventory systems, maintaining report logs, time keeping, typing, answering telephones and liaison with the Regional Accounting Office (RAO).

Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or may become permanent.

Working Conditions

California Medical Facility (CMF), located in a unique spot in Vacaville, CA. Unique as in being surrounded by many areas for family fun, exercise, touristy adventures and more. Approximately 35 miles east of downtown Sacramento, approximately 53 miles west of Pier 39 in San Francisco, and if you want to meet in the middle you can swing by Napa which is approximately 30 miles west. Also located nearby are the Vacaville Outlets for all your shopping needs.

• The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
