Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Mach inist for a company based in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manufacture precision components, operate advanced machining equipment, and contribute to producing high-quality products.
Pay Rate
$25.00 or more per hour based on experience
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 3 00 pm to 11 30 pm.
Sunday through Thursday, 11 00 pm to 7 30 am.
Machin ist Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
- Select and install all appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor machine repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with fabricators, welders, engineers, programmers, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Machin ist Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum of 1 year machining experience preferred, 2-5 years of related experience.
