Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments for patients across the pediatric, adult, and geriatric domains using a blend of standardized evaluation tools and observational techniques.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that aim to meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions that focus on a range of aspects including speech clarity, language development, fluency, voice refinement, and swallowing techniques.
- Team up with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
- Provide educational guidance to patients and their families to ensure ongoing progress between therapy sessions.
- Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain precise documentation in compliance with relevant guidelines while ensuring timely updates.
- Stay abreast of field innovations through continuous educational endeavors and peer collaboration.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-driven treatment techniques across all age groups, deeply familiar with both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Adaptability in therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic contexts.
- Solid clinical judgment paired with an analytical mindset.
- Comfort with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.
