Assistant Branch Manager

Responsibilities Assist the Branch Manager in supervising the branch team and ensuring sales goals and client‑experience expectations are met. Identify prospects, deepen existing client relationships, and recommend value‑added banking products and services. Handle client service needs and new account openings for personal and business clients, and refer opportunities to other lines of business. Ensure operational soundness of the branch through training, inspections, coaching, and compliance with retail policies and procedures. Lead operational duties such as opening/closing the branch, verifying currency shipments, maintaining appearance, balancing drawers, preparing reports, and managing ATM/vault balances. Coach, mentor, and support associates’ career development, performance reviews, and hiring decisions. Represent Centier professionally in virtual and community events, volunteer initiatives, and external engagements. Apply independent judgment and sound decision‑making to limit risk to clients and the bank. Other Duties Supervise a branch with multiple lines of business (Business Center Branch). Collaborate with each line of business to meet all client needs. Mentor fellow associates on various tasks and assignments. Be available for evenings, some weekends, and assignments at other branches as needed. Skills & Experience • Working knowledge of PC software including MS Windows and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and bank‑approved systems such as CSI NuPoint, IMM, Covalent, PowerBI, and Smartsheet. • Ability to resolve client problems by listening, analyzing options, and recommending solutions. • High attention to detail and strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. • Consultative skills to identify a client’s financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions. • Understanding of consumer credit metrics (loan‑to‐value, debt‑to‑income, credit reports). • Ability to adopt new technology and participate in software rollouts. • Ability to interact with investment, mortgage, and business banking partners. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field preferred. At least 2years of management experience, preferably in banking, financial services, or goal‑driven retail sales with a focus on consumer and business development. Client service experience.
