Lead Bid Manager – Saab Training & Simulation (T&S), Orlando, FL

Saab, Inc.’s Training & Simulation (T&S) business is expanding its U.S. market presence and is seeking a Lead Bid Manager to support its Orlando-based Capture organization. This role is critical to supporting ongoing pursuits and enhancing bid execution across the U.S. portfolio in close coordination with existing corporate proposal capabilities.

The Lead Bid Manager will operate across the full bid lifecycle in accordance with Saab’s Win Business process, supporting both early-stage opportunity activities and active proposals. This is not a traditional Proposal Manager role. It is a broader position responsible for coordinating, shaping, and delivering competitive bids, while ensuring alignment with established proposal processes and organizational standards.

The role will work closely with the T&S Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, and Bid Teams at Saab, Inc. and Saab T&S Sweden and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in ways of working and effective collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Lead and manage end-to-end bid activities, from early opportunity shaping through proposal submission and program hand-over.
• Support ongoing U.S. pursuits requiring immediate bid leadership and coordination
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including business development, engineering, pricing, contracts, operations and review teams
• Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure clear bid strategy, compliance, and execution
• Work in partnership with corporate proposal resources to ensure seamless integration of proposal development activities
• Support the consistent application and refinement of bid and proposal processes, templates, and reporting practices
• Partner with counterparts in Sweden to maintain alignment with Saab T&S global practices
• Track and communicate bid status, risks, and performance indicators to leadership
  Drive continuous improvement in bid quality, efficiency, and win probability

Compensation Range: $101,600 - $132,000

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

• BS Degree in business or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 8 plus years relevant as a Bid Manager in complex, competitive environments, preferably within the U.S. federal or defense market
• Experience supporting pricing or cost build activities, with a strong understanding of calculation methodologies for both product and services proposals, by working closely with our Proposal Finance and Program Finance leads
• Deep understanding of U.S. proposal and acquisition processes
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a cross-cultural environment and collaborate across international teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels
• Ability to secure a Secret clearance

Travel Requirement: This position requires the ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
