The Children’s Army is seeking independent fundraising representatives to develop financial support from businesses and community supporters throughout Southern Nevada.

We help fund professionally recommended therapies and related care for children recovering from abuse. Our message is simple: Healing Isn’t Optional. We are looking for people who can bring that message into the business community, build lasting relationships, and turn interest into financial support.

The opportunity

You will identify prospective donors, connect with business owners and decision makers, explain our mission, and ask for financial contributions. Experience in outside sales, business development, account management, community partnerships, or fundraising is valuable. Existing Southern Nevada business relationships are helpful, but a particular professional background or college degree is not required.

This opportunity may suit an established independent sales professional who wants to add meaningful charitable outreach to their business activities.

What you will do

• Research and develop prospective business and community supporters.
• Coordinate account assignments with the charity before approaching prospects.
• Arrange conversations and meetings with decision makers.
• Present approved information about The Children’s Army and request financial support.
• Maintain accurate contact notes, follow-up activities, and donation opportunities in the charity’s designated system.
• Coordinate with a designated board contact on donor questions and proposed gift arrangements.
• Direct every contribution through the charity’s approved payment channels.

Representatives may not collect donations into their own accounts, promise unapproved benefits, or make commitments on behalf of the charity.

Compensation and contractor terms

Compensation is 10% of qualifying monetary donations attributable to your documented fundraising efforts and actually received and cleared by The Children’s Army , under a written agreement provided before engagement.

There is no base salary, hourly wage, draw, guaranteed income, or payment for unsuccessful solicitation efforts . Earnings depend on qualifying donations received. The agreement will define account ownership, eligible gifts, payment timing, refunds, and any commission rights involving recurring or later gifts.

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, necessary business licenses, equipment, transportation, and business expenses. No employee benefits or routine expense reimbursements are provided.

Contractors control their own work methods and schedules, subject to applicable law, donor protections, approved account assignments, and the written agreement. The engagement is nonexclusive.

What we are looking for

• Clear, professional communication and confidence asking for financial support.
• Strong follow-through and accurate recordkeeping.
• Sound judgment, honesty, and respect for donors.
• Ability to work independently and participate in agreed progress reviews.
• Access to a phone, internet connection, and reliable transportation for local meetings.
• A valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance if driving in connection with the engagement.

Selected contractors must complete onboarding, provide a Form W-9 and applicable licensing and insurance documentation, and sign the fundraising agreement. Solicitation begins only after written authorization from the charity.
