Associate scientist position supporting vaccine research and development at Pfizer's Pearl River, NY facility. The role involves hands-on analytical testing, sample preparation, instrument operation, and data analysis under supervision to advance vaccine development programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing and sample preparation for vaccine process development, formulation, characterization, and stability studies
- Operate analytical instruments following established procedures and process experimental data
- Support method development, verification, and troubleshooting experiments under supervisor guidance
- Document laboratory activities in electronic notebooks and maintain accurate, complete records
- Assist with preparation of protocols, reports, and method qualification documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience or strong undergraduate research background
- Hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC and UV/Vis spectroscopy
- Demonstrated attention to detail, strong documentation practices, and ability to learn analytical methods
- Proficiency in basic scientific calculations and data organization
- Authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $60,200–$100,400 base salary; 7.5% bonus target
