About the Position

Job Title: RN Centralized Registry Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg (Medical Surgical) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: IN RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS through AHA required Must-Have: - Minimum of 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2 or tertiary experience - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a large hospital (450+ beds) - Experience in general medical and surgical nursing care Description: This position involves caring for diverse patients with varying diagnoses. Patients may have chronic illnesses such as COPD, diabetes, and CHF. The role includes managing GI issues, infections, and neurological cases. Nursing responsibilities will involve procedures such as colonoscopies and minor surgeries. General job duties include assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Candidates will utilize electronic health records and various medical equipment. Skills required include management of IV therapy, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. The RN will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Floating to other medical units may be required depending on patient care needs. The dress code is Caribbean blue scrubs. A comprehensive orientation and training program is provided for all supplemental staff. BLS and an IN license or compact license as of 7/1/20 are mandatory. Three weekend shifts in a four-week period are part of the schedule.
