Job Title: RN Centralized Registry Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 7am - 7pm Experience: 2 years License: Indiana RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of MedSurg experience at a large hospital with over 600 beds. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our centralized registry float team. The position involves providing care to patients in a medical surgical setting. Candidates will care for a diverse population with chronic illnesses and various diagnoses. This includes managing conditions such as COPD, diabetes, CHF, and end-stage renal disease. We also handle GI issues, infections, and patients with neurological and mental health disorders. General responsibilities include assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Utilization of electronic health records is required, along with IV therapy management. Candidates should be proficient in using various medical equipment. The position involves 12-hour shifts with 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period. Patient ratios will typically be 1:5 to 1:6. Nursing staff may float to other medical units as needed. The dress code is Caribbean Blue scrubs. Orientation includes general hospital orientation and nursing orientation, including Epic classes.
