Electrical Helper

Electrician AssistantDuties and Responsibilities• Follow directions of electrician and assist with installation and repair of wiring and electrical apparatus.• Adhere to strict production schedules and work hour requirements for completion of job assignment.• Assist with material management, including proper handling and storage of materials and cleanliness of jobsite.• Understand company policies and obey safety regulations.• Responsible for securing and maintaining basic tools and performing all tasks to current standards.• Maintain tools and equipment, including:Performing routine tool maintenance.Inspecting tools for damage.Tagging and reporting damaged tools for repair.Cleaning tools and equipment.Lubricating tools and equipment.Storing tools to prevent damage or theft.• Initiate or suggest ideas to achieve working goals.• Participate in, adhere to, and sign all pre-task plans and job hazard analysis forms, before starting work.• Follow all client, company, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as shop machinery, in conjunction with proper training.• Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) in a safe manner in conjunction with proper certification.• Perform semi-skilled or laborer duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.• Work from ladders, scaffold, and roofs to install and maintain or repair electrical wiring equipment as well as fixtures.• Inform project managers and safety representatives of all safety violations as well as minor/major injuries immediately.• Other duties, as assigned.• Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays.
