Production Line Worker

Job Title: Production Line Worker / Assembly Associate Job Description
This role focuses on assembling kitchen cabinets on a production line using air tools and hand tools. You will trim and glue joints, fit parts together to form cabinet sections, assemble completed units, install hardware, and prepare finished products for installation. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities

• Assemble kitchen cabinets using air tools and hand tools in a production line environment.
• Trim and glue joints and fit parts together to form sections of cabinets.
• Assemble sections to form completed cabinets ready for installation.
• Fit hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves, and other hardware components to cabinets.
• Install completed cabinet products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Use equipment such as staple guns, drills, hammers, spatulas, tweezers, and scan guns safely and efficiently.
• Perform general production duties including packing, inspection, and heavy lifting as needed.
• Follow metric measurements using tape measures and calipers to ensure accurate assembly and fit.
• Read and understand drawings and work instructions to complete tasks correctly.
• Inspect assembled products for quality, accuracy, and proper fit before moving them to the next stage.
• Assess and prioritize tasks to meet production goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with others in a team setting to maintain workflow and production efficiency.
• Comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
• Recognize and identify letter and number combinations for parts, materials, and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support production and manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull consistently up to 25-50 lbs, and occasionally carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform metric measurements accurately using tape measures and calipers.
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to recognize and identify letter and number combinations for parts and materials.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and production documentation.
• Ability to work independently and closely with others in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assess and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.
• Comfort with constant standing and occasional walking, bending, and twisting of neck and waist.
• Ability to converse and communicate clearly and to hear instructions and safety signals.
• Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Experience with production, general labor, inspection, assembly, general production, packaging, and heavy lifting.
• Skill using hand tools and power tools such as staple guns, drills, hammers, spatulas, tweezers, and scan guns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly work, particularly with woodwork and cabinetry, is beneficial.
• Background in carpentry or woodwork is an asset.
• Comfort working with forklifts in a production environment is helpful.
• Experience with packing and general manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and priorities.
• Professionalism and willingness to participate in culture and environment training.

Work Environment
This is an indoor manufacturing environment where the temperature can feel similar to the weather outside, meaning it may be quite cold in winter and warm in summer. The role involves working on a production floor with frequent use of tools such as staple guns, drills, hammers, spatulas, tweezers, and scan guns. You will be consistently standing, with occasional walking, bending, and twisting of the neck and waist, and regularly lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling up to 25-50 lbs. The setting is fast-paced and often changing, requiring attention to safety, clear communication, and teamwork throughout the shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
