About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business Development and Licensing to play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion of its AI-native drug discovery and development platform. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of reimagining drug discovery, leading business development and licensing activities for a portfolio of first-in-class and best-in-class molecules. This includes initiating and nurturing relationships with senior counterparts in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, identifying and securing value-maximizing partnerships, and representing the company's platform and acquisition strategy. The role demands a deep understanding of the drug development process, particularly in the areas of oncology and immunology, and a proven track record in both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Applicants for the Vice President, Business Development and Licensing position at the company should hold a BS/BA in life sciences, with an advanced degree strongly preferred, and have at least 12-15 years' of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. A minimum of 7 years' of direct business development and licensing experience, with a focus on oncology and immunology, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of senior relationships in the industry, a demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations, and a keen interest in the AI-enabled drug discovery space. The role also requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex technical and commercial concepts to diverse audiences.
