Location: Tampa, FL - Fully onsite
About the Role:
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, is comfortable managing multiple bank accounts and online bank portals, and has strong attention to detail when handling financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile transactions across multiple bank accounts and online banking portals.
- Monitor and maintain client trust account activity.
- Process client retainer deposits, settlement funds, disbursements, and related transactions.
- Track and reconcile trust account balances to ensure accurate client records.
- Review banking activity and research discrepancies or outstanding items.
- Maintain petty cash and other assigned accounting records.
- Perform general bookkeeping and accounting functions.
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and follow established accounting and compliance procedures.
- Assist with financial reporting and other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or trust accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience managing multiple bank accounts.
- Experience working directly with online banking portals / bank portals.
- Strong reconciliation and transaction-processing skills.
- Law firm or legal accounting experience.
- Experience with trust, IOLTA, escrow, retainer, or client funds.
- Understanding of trust account reconciliation and compliance requirements.
