You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.The Engineering Services team is a technical consulting and engineering group who design, configure, integrate, and extend capabilities across front, middle, and back-office financial technology platforms. This role combines elements of Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, and Software Engineering, with a significant focus on custom application development using C#, SQL and AI powered tools. The primary responsibility of this role is to partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, develop and deploy technical solutions, and support implementation efforts across a variety of financial systems and workflows.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesPartner with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, business requirements, and technical solutionsAnalyze and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements across front-, middle-, and back-office functionsTranslate business requirements into platform configurations, process improvements, integrations, and custom software solutionsDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable software components, workflows, and automation solutions using C#, SQL and other programming languagesCollaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and test plansSupport implementation, deployment, and post-production activities in client environmentsUtilize AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance analysis, documentation, software development, testing, and operational efficiencyContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, delivery best practices, and platform innovationRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred1–3+ years of professional experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Enterprise Software, or Technology ConsultingProficiency in SQL and C#, Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming languageExperience working within Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and collaborating with software development teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutionsPreferred QualificationsExperience creating technical documentation, workflow designs, and solution specificationsExperience with enterprise platform configuration, systems integration, APIs, or workflow automationFamiliarity with AI-assisted development, analytics, documentation, or productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-enabled testing and automation platforms)Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with geographically distributed teamsKnowledge of financial services, capital markets, trading operations, investment management, or post-trade processing is a plusExperience supporting client-facing projects or technical consulting engagements is a plusSS&C Technologies offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and future. Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
