Payroll Specialist

Byron Center, MI | Hybrid Schedule $70,000 - $80,000 Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their growing team. This hybrid position offers a consistent Monday‑Friday schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with in‑office work Monday through Wednesday and remote flexibility on Thursday and Friday. Responsibilities Payroll Processing Process weekly and biweekly payrolls for approximately over 2,000 employees. Download and import timekeeping data from time clock systems. Manually compile and upload payroll data for clients utilizing alternative time‑tracking methods. Follow detailed payroll procedures and client‑specific instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Process payrolls for both hourly and salaried employees. Employee Record Maintenance Update employee tax and withholding information. Adjust and correct employee timecards as needed. Enter and maintain new hire information within payroll systems. Additional Payroll Functions Upload direct deposit and 401(k) files. Process wage garnishments and Friend of the Court payments. Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll‑related issues. Qualifications Required 3-6 years of payroll experience. Background in payroll, accounting, or HR with strong payroll knowledge. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client‑specific processes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Multi‑state payroll experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
