We seek a Nurse/RN to join the expanding Surgical Oncology/Breast Cancer teams. Position will involve assisting surgeon with office-based procedures and biopsies; surgery orders; wound care; answering, triaging, and documenting phone calls from patients or other physician’s offices; administrative and clinical duties as assigned. RN will also work as part of larger nursing team under the direction of the clinical supervisor to serve all of Wilmington Surgical’ s general surgery patients. Additionally, you can get back your weekends and holidays never needing to miss another holiday or weekend event again. What You’ll Do In-House Procedures & Clinical Services Fluoroscopy (Floro) Mammography and breast imaging Ultrasound procedures Stereotactic breast biopsies Care coordination and clinical support for a high-volume breast program, including three breast cancer specialists General surgical procedures, including evaluation and treatment of various lumps and bumps Minor surgical procedures performed under local anesthesia Dermatologic procedures Surgical oncology services Collaboration with ancillary services to support comprehensive patient care What We’re Looking For Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience : One year relevant experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification : Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred. Why Choose Novant Health?
