Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive legal service in workers compensation law. Your expertise will help ensure our firm delivers exceptional legal services to clients while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Duties
- Manage a caseload including all aspects of litigation from inception to trial/resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis.
- Draft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence tailored to client needs.
- Managing case files, organizing evidence, and preparing for court proceedings or negotiations.
- Negotiate settlements and client agreements across various practice areas.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations by reviewing updates.
- Participate in client meetings to gather information, explain legal options, and provide updates on case progress.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies for litigation or transactional matters while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in California.
- Proven experience or strong interest in practicing multiple areas of law.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized legal documents and correspondence.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex laws and regulations effectively.
- Effective negotiation skills to facilitate client settlements or contractual agreements.
- Prior experience with legal administrative tasks such as case management and document organization is preferred.
