A bit about us Our client, a national law firm focusing on labor and employment defense and business litigation, is seeking to add a Labor & Employment Associate to their New York office. Why join us Competitive salary Excellent benefits package Collaborative, friendly environment Flexible work schedule Generous PTO Job Details Responsibilities Represent clients in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and labor relations. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and provide accurate legal advice to clients. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and employment contracts. Develop litigation strategies and represent clients in court, arbitrations, and before administrative bodies. Provide proactive legal advice to clients to help them avoid potential labor and employment issues. Keep abreast of changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly. Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm on complex cases and legal projects. Qualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. Demonstrated experience in labor law, legal research, legal writing, and litigation. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and provide accurate legal advice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex legal concepts. Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients. Ability to manage multiple cases and legal projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
