Unit Secretary – Clinical Decision Unit and Adult ED – Nights The Unit Secretary performs a variety of clerical tasks involved in preparing, maintaining and processing patient and unit activities, data and records. Responsibilities Perform daily activities with minimal supervision and self‑direct routine activities. Handle, transport, and access medications and related supplies. Work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Preferred experience: setting up and maintaining office systems, medical insurance and MIS, medical terminology, healthcare setting, Microsoft Office, EMR. Additional Requirements Shift rotation to be established with Nurse Manager. Shift hours may be adjusted to meet staffing needs. Physical: lift up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking, repetitive motion. Must be able to handle multiple priorities, work in noisy environment, adapt to frequent change. Nights.
