This contract position is ideal for passionate occupational therapists seeking hands-on experience with a diverse student population. With an ASAP start, you'll provide approximately 15-17 direct service hours each week, complemented by essential consultative support.

One unique feature of this role is the half-day schedule for students every Wednesday, giving you dedicated time in the afternoon for documentation, meetings, and planning—allowing you to maintain an effective workflow. The school’s hands-on approach includes onsite interviews, ensuring you get to experience the school's environment and population before making a commitment. The initial contract is for 3 months, with strong consideration for permanent placement for the right fit.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid OT licensure and credentialing for work in Maryland schools
• Experience working with adolescents and young adults, ideally in a school-based OT setting
• Strong consultative and direct therapy skills
• Passion for supporting diverse learners in educational settings
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in grades 8-12, both individually and in groups
• Provide consultative support to teachers and staff for student success
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized OT plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Maintain ongoing documentation of student progress and services
