Procurement Specialist

Position Type: Contract On-Site Required: Strong experience in SAP. Manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent organization skills. Responsibilities: Develops complex buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials; expedites as needed and serves as liaison between vendors and users. Resolves complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices. Develops project plans and purchasing systems; reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases. Negotiates prices, terms and quality requirements; develops requests for quotes and develops new supply sources; evaluates market conditions. Guides value analysis to identify cost improvements, develops cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria. To manage a work-que and secure that POs are issued in due time. Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitions), engineering team, supplier quality teams, operation teams to ensure customer care and early involvement. Manage a portfolio of supplier’s relationships, negotiate price increase requests, prepare RFQ packs, onboarding suppliers, run bidding processes, and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes. Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, and IT systems). Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
