DKC is searching for a dynamic communications pro with 10+ years of luxury lifestyle PR experience to join and help continue to grow our practice in New York. This is a leadership role requiring the executive to drive strategy and manage a team handling a mix of clients from entrepreneurs and startups to popular household names and industry leaders over a cross-section of luxury accounts (home, beauty, wellness, fashion and travel/hospitality). This position sits at the intersection of brand and entertainment. The Vice President reports to an Executive Vice President. We collaborate with other agency divisions including Sports, DKCulture, Health & Wellness, Corporate, Entertainment, Public Affairs, Data/Analytics, Hangar4 (creative agency) and other ACC sister agencies (MKG, Pixly and Stripe). About You: You will manage clients and a team; comfortable with a roster of 6-8 accounts. You’re a natural storyteller and understand how to create sophisticated narratives for different audiences. You have an established network of go-to media contacts with the ability to place a feature story, score a commentary opportunity, negotiate an exclusive and build a choreographed launch plan. You can develop and present a strategic memo or plan that aligns with the client’s immediate priorities and long-term goals. You love to flex your creative muscle and think like a marketer. You’re a strong writer and equally proficient editor. You will have enthusiasm for the hybrid work environment and understand the value of collaboration and team work. You show a passion and confidence in successfully navigating the evolving consumer landscapes. You enjoy counseling and advising clients on overall strategy, category challenges, opportunities and trends. You have a proven track record of developing and executing holistic PR strategies that utilize the full scope of the communications mix, including media relations, influencer outreach, talent relations, thought-leadership campaigns, celebrity and/or brand partnerships / collaborations and experiential activations (events). You have experience working as part of an integrated team, representing the PR POV while applying big picture thinking across holistic campaigns. You love new business! You can surface opportunities and participate in the process from scouting, brainstorming, proposal development, presenting through agency selection, contracting and new client onboarding.
