This position allows for a fully remote work environment, offering flexibility and the convenience of working from home while maintaining a structured schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will have access to telehealth tools and platforms that facilitate secure and effective therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to determine the severity and patterns of mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and recovery goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support client progress.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices, empowering them to take charge of their mental health.

• Monitor client progress over time and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance effectiveness.

• Engage in integrated care practices by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment.

• Stay informed on the latest research in mood disorders, incorporating new knowledge into treatment methodologies.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards for confidentiality.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and contribute to the reduction of stigma associated with mental illness by promoting awareness and understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals grappling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of your clients may come from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as refugees, victims of domestic violence, or those experiencing homelessness. Your compassionate approach will be crucial in creating a safe space for healing and progress for these individuals.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
