Database Analyst

Location: Tallahassee, FL Job Type: Contract / Consulting Position Summary Defined Software Development is seeking experienced Database Analysts for contract consulting opportunities in the Tallahassee area. Our consultants support government and enterprise technology projects across a variety of IT environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with relational databases, SQL, data analysis, database development, performance optimization, reporting, and data-related problem solving. Specific project assignments, requirements, and durations may vary based on client and project needs. Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements related to databases and data systems. Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects. Analyze data structures and relationships within relational database systems. Support database design, development, testing, and implementation. Perform data analysis and identify data quality issues and inconsistencies. Troubleshoot database and data-related application issues. Support developers and technical teams with database-related requirements. Support data migration, integration, transformation, and validation activities. Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Develop reports, queries, and data extracts as needed. Document database structures, processes, procedures, and technical solutions. Participate in testing and validation of database changes. Assist with database upgrades, modernization, and maintenance activities. Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and SQL. Strong SQL development and data analysis skills. Experience working with database structures, tables, views, stored procedures, and queries. Experience troubleshooting data and database-related issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to document technical information and communicate effectively with technical and business users. Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft SQL Server Oracle
