Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult ICU and teaching hospital experience for a 16-week night shift contract at an academic medical center in Burlington, VT.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory care setting at an academic teaching hospital in Burlington, Vermont
• Patient populations include adult ICU, adult general, and pediatric general units
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend availability required as needed
• No on-call or charge requirements
• No floating required
• Schedule flexibility is required; block schedules are not permitted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays

Requirements

• RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience required
• Adult ICU and adult and pediatric general unit experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor, with one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable — Vermont license not required at time of submission; NY candidates may be considered with proof of a pending NY license

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required for this position
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles, 51–100 miles, and 101+ miles of the facility are subject to tiered pay rates based on straight-line distance from the facility
• Public transportation is not accessible near this facility; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• All employment history must include bed count, EMR system, and facility type for each entry; any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented within each individual employment history entry
