As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment and machinery are running properly. You will be solving problems, repairing equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment within our warehouses. Whether it's helping to keep our conveyor systems running or ensuring that our climate control systems function flawlessly. You'll work closely with a supportive team that values collaboration and communication. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, we encourage you to apply and become a key player in our mission to deliver top-notch service to our customers while keeping our operations running smoothly!ResponsibilitiesConduct routine inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from team members and management.Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics is a plus.Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems - such as, conveyor systems and components, Shanklin wrappers, pallet stretch wrappersAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Willingness to learnAbility to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 10 hours shift.Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (if it's hot out, it's hot inside...)Pay, Shift, & LocationPay: ranges from $22.50/hr to $24.50/hr depending on experience, with a $1.50/hr shift differential for 3rd shift.Shift : 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday - Thursday, with mandatory overtime as needed.Location: Indy North - 5550 W. 74th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268What We Offer YouPaid time offMedical, dental, and vision benefits401k with company matchCareer growth opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee appreciation & recognition programsAbout Us:Lakeside Book Company loves books!
