MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY
Sani Environmental Services is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will perform general building maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and service work at residential and commercial properties throughout New York City.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
- Repair and replace hopper doors, chute components, and related hardware.
- Perform trash chute and compactor cleaning and maintenance.
- Perform dryer exhaust, HVAC, and ventilation cleaning.
- Assist with roof fan cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
- Perform power washing, steam cleaning, and general cleaning services.
- Assist with graffiti removal and exterior maintenance.
- Perform apartment, basement, mechanical room, and post-construction cleanouts.
- Assist with biohazard and specialty cleaning projects as needed.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Travel to various job sites throughout NYC.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, building staff, and customers.
- Complete assigned work efficiently and according to company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, repair, cleaning, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or general repair work is a plus.
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift equipment and materials and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working in basements, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and other building service areas.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
