About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its People & Culture team, a senior leadership role with a focus on operational excellence and strategic HR management. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and continuously improving the HR function, with a particular emphasis on employee relations, talent management, and policy development. This role demands a leader with a strong operational foundation, capable of harmonizing HR practices across a multi-state organization and providing hands-on leadership while also advising the executive team on people-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, with the ability to earn the trust of employees and managers, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include assessing and enhancing HR policies, serving as the go-to authority on employment law, and handling complex employee relations matters. The role also involves partnering with the learning and development team to shape a talent management program, developing a performance management strategy, and guiding the executive team on organizational design and talent strategy. The candidate should have at least 10 years' of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in financial services or wealth management being a plus. Distinguishing characteristics for this role include courage, tolerance for ambiguity, and a strong sense of ownership.
