Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Anchorage, AK Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a contract position in an acute care setting located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The successful candidate will be integral to patient assessment, procedural support, and post‑procedure recovery, ensuring high‑quality patient care within the cardiac catheterization lab. Key Responsibilities Assist cardiologists and other medical staff during cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic studies, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventional procedures. Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic parameters before, during, and after procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining consent, assessing medical history, and establishing IV access. Administer medications, including sedatives, anticoagulants, and emergency drugs, as prescribed. Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper functioning of all Cath Lab equipment. Provide comprehensive post‑procedure care, including sheath removal, monitoring for complications, and patient education. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in compliance with facility standards. Respond effectively to emergent situations, including cardiac arrest and other acute complications. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska. Minimum of 1‑2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring. Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control protocols. Ability to operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab‑specific equipment (e.g., imaging systems, IVUS, FFR). Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment. Shift Details Shift: 3x12‑hour day shifts (AM). Days per week: 3. Contract Length: 13 weeks. Start Date: 2026-06-22.
