This position is within FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.Position SummaryThe Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integrations that enable business operations across internal systems and external partners. This role focuses on building and maintaining integrations using the webMethods platform, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and ensuring reliable data exchange across systems.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain integrations using the webMethods platform- Build and support Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions, B2B data exchanges, and REST/SOAP web services- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions- Develop and execute unit and integration test plans- Provide production support including troubleshooting and on-call participation- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)- 7+ years of experience in application or integration development- Experience with webMethods Integration Server 10 or greater- Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, XSD, and WSDL- Experience with FTP/SFTP file transfers- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications- Experience with webMethods components such as Universal Messaging, Trading Networks, Teracotta clustering- SAP integration experience (RFCs, IDocs)- Experience with B2B/EDI integrations- Familiarity with API-first design- Knowledge of ITIL processes or experience with Service Now- Experience working in hybrid (on-prem and cloud) integration environments- ETL experience (Informatica PowerCenter)Core Competencies- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability- Ability to manage multiple priorities- Self-motivated with continuous learning mindsetWork Environment- Collaborative team environment working across IT and business units- Participation in on-call rotation for production supportWhat Success Looks Like- Delivery of reliable, scalable integration solutions- High system uptime and timely incident resolution- Strong cross-team collaboration- Well-documented and maintainable solutionsAbout the TeamThe Integration team supports enterprise-wide system integrations, enabling critical business processes through application-to-application connectivity, API services, and B2B data exchange.
