Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to primarily adult patients with hematologic, oncologic, immunocompromised, and cardiac conditions, including those with complex fluid and medication management needs and single or multi-system complications
• Independently analyze and monitor cardiac rhythms for assigned patients; unit does not utilize monitor technicians
• Administer chemotherapy and manage continuous infusion medications including cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin
• Perform skilled procedures including IV starts, peripheral and arterial blood draws, wound vac dressing changes, wound drain management, central line care, tracheotomy care, and chest tube management
• Manage pain and provide care for patients experiencing radiation complications and cardiac arrhythmias
• Participate in self-scheduling, including every other weekend and 3 out of 4 holidays within a 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Must successfully pass EKG and Pharmacology exams prior to start during the compliance process
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Certification
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncology or hematology patient populations
• Familiarity with ancillary staff collaboration in an inpatient setting
