Looking for a compassionate and professional  Assistant Director of Nursing to join a nursing team at a skilled nursing facility in Rochester, NY.   As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON ) is responsible for the nursing team and quality of patient service in the absence of the director of nursing. 

Salary: $97K to $105K

Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing:

• Must have a New York RN license

• MUST have prior experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing 

• Must have experience in long-term care

• Experience staff training with clinical staff

• Excellent communication skills required

Responsibilities:  

• Helping to hire, train, teach, and monitor nurses.

• Managing clinical operations and developing care plans.

• Preparing the daily schedule and planning shifts.

• Ensuring nursing staff follows departmental procedures and policies.

• Assisting in budget preparation and expense management.

• Conducting patient rounds and addressing complaints.

• Evaluating the performance of the department and recommending improvements.

• Scheduling staff meetings for patient updates, issues, and recommendations.

• Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local standards.

• Keeping patient and employee records updated and accurate.
