Service Manager

A growing agricultural and compact equipment dealership is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead its service department in Southern Georgia . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department while driving customer satisfaction, technician productivity, and overall department profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong service management experience who enjoys developing technicians, building customer relationships, and creating an efficient, team-oriented service operation. Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the service department, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable performance Manage technician scheduling, workflow, and work assignments to maximize productivity and minimize equipment downtime Oversee work orders, repair status, invoicing, and warranty claim processing to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction Recruit, train, coach, and develop service department employees while fostering a positive team culture Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing outstanding service and resolving service-related concerns Partner with parts, sales, and manufacturer representatives to ensure seamless customer support and operational success Monitor department performance, labor efficiency, and profitability while implementing continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards Track inventory, equipment status, and service documentation to support efficient department operations Stay current on equipment technology, service procedures, and industry best practices Qualifications Previous experience as a Service Manager, Shop Foreman, Service Supervisor, or similar leadership role within the equipment industry Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment, compact equipment, construction equipment, or related machinery Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technicians while managing daily shop operations Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment General knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair procedures, and parts operations Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus High school diploma or GED required; additional technical education is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
