Accounting Clerk

$20.00 - $23.00 per Hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in West Chester, Ohio. This position is ideal for candidates with accounting support experience and offers a strong preference for individuals who have worked in an automotive dealership environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced office setting.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Enter and maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems

• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts

• Review invoices for accuracy and process payments in a timely manner

• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting

• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries

• Process daily cash receipts and deposits

• Support administrative and accounting projects as needed

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Qualifications

• Previous accounting clerk, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience required

• Automotive dealership experience strongly preferred

• Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Strong data entry and 10-key skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional accounting coursework is a plus
