Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Previous experience working with K-12 students in diverse learning settings preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
Adaptable approach tailored to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction to students with a range of disabilities
Develop, implement, and periodically review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure student success
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust strategies as needed
Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages growth and participation
Adhere to all federal, state, and district requirements and timelines
