Aero Operations Manager

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC (MD&A), a world‑class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who is eager to join a growing organization and to work on diverse and technically challenging projects. MD&A’s Industrial Gas Turbine Division in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to lead and grow the Aero‑/Gas Turbine Parts services. This position will be located at our San Antonio, Texas facility. Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage repair and services teams to meet customers’ Quality and On‑Time Delivery requirements. Reduce operational risks by ensuring all company safety measures and protocols are followed. Plan, control, and maintain all operational costs consistent with established business priorities and goals. Create and promote a continuous improvement environment/culture where all employees actively contribute to improvement suggestions and ideas. Obtain, analyze, and act on new or established financial profitability targets. Work and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manage internal and external supply chains. Ensure adequate levels of inventory and consumables to support production forecasts. Provide leadership support in employee selection, talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, coaching and mentoring, and employee engagement processes and programs in alignment with all business goals, visions, and values. Requirements BS/BA in engineering, business, management, logistics, or a related field is required. 7+ years of related operations/manufacturing experience in a supervisory position within the aerospace and/or gas turbine maintenance, repair & overhaul industries. Must have managed and led a team of engineers and repair technicians. Strong competencies in leadership, communication, cultural awareness, and organizational astuteness. Proven track record of managing a repair shop including driving profitability on jobs. Ability to effectively communicate written and verbal complex instructions or directions to direct reports and division management. Well‑versed and solid computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite 365. GT Field Engineer experience is a strong plus. Strong project management skills.
