Sonographer - OB/GYN Clinic

Position Overview The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound scans using various equipment to ensure high quality imaging and patient safety. Responsibilities Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound devices, maintain equipment, and prepare exam rooms for efficient patient flow. Evaluate images for quality, identify normal and abnormal anatomy, and accurately document findings in electronic health records. Participate in complex scans, invasive procedures, and support patient monitoring during examinations. Provide patient-centered care, communicate effectively, and respond to urgent situations. Maintain compliance with quality standards, infection control, and departmental protocols. Prepare and handle medications or contrast media under supervision. Contribute to training students, assist in departmental orientation, and foster positive team relationships. Engage in continuing education, stay updated on industry trends, and suggest process improvements. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited sonography program. Relevant certification (ARDMS or ARRT). Proficiency in ultrasound techniques and anatomy.
