Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will administer and manage daily activities of the accounting functions at the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the development and implantation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting in compliance with State and Federal law, and LEGENDS GLOBAL policies and procedures. Update and maintain budget forecasts each month for accurate year-end projections. Performs other accounting functions and coordinates tasks with other department personnel. Prepares and performs or assists with event settlements. Prepares and performs account reconciliations. Preparation of customer reporting and invoicing. Preparation of financial statements for the Client and LEGENDS GLOBAL Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, including the Annual Report. Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures. Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, operating expenses, and insurance records. Reports and maintains Tax Compliance. Prepares and analyzes information for financial statements and reports. Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures. Review the financial statements with management personnel. Reconciles Food & Beverage activity. Oversee the monthly Food & Beverage inventory counts. Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed in food & beverage areas, overseeing the procedures of the vault clerks. Assist other Legends Global facilities as needed. Performs all other job duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out any temporary supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws. This would include training for any new hires, etc. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four (4) year college or university. Experience in facility management, event management, and/or hospitality industries preferred. Must have extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting; excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures. QUALIFICATIONS Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Strong accounting knowledge and skills. A strong communicator: be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format to management and staff, as well as to all types of vendors and clientele. Organized, able to prioritize, and have strong time management skills. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS None. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Manual dexterity – Regularly required to use hands and fingers. Operate office equipment such as a computer. Reach with hands and arms. Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to access inventory. May spend long hours sitting. May need to lift up to 20 lbs. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Normal office environment. COMPUTER SKILLS Knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel are essential. Knowledge of ADP and Microsoft D365 software are preferred.
