Job Description

Homeward Care LLC is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our growing team!

We currently have multiple Community Living Supports (CLS) cases available throughout Ottawa County and surrounding communities, with a variety of schedules to accommodate different availability.

Available shifts generally fall between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, depending on individual client needs. Opportunities are available for caregivers seeking part-time hours, consistent weekly schedules, or additional cases to increase their hours.

As a DSP, you will provide individualized, community-based support to individuals with disabilities, helping them build independence, develop daily living skills, and actively participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and independent living skills.
• Support community outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
• Encourage social interaction, community involvement, and relationship-building.
• Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and personal routines.
• Support individuals in developing decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Provide transportation and assistance with community activities when needed.
• Follow individualized person-centered service plans and goals.
• Maintain accurate daily service documentation and progress notes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, behavioral health, or community-based services preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow individualized support plans.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications.

Scheduling & Availability

We are actively hiring for multiple cases with varying schedules.

• Available Hours: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Days: Monday through Sunday
• Positions: Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities
• Scheduling: Weekday and Weekend Availability
• Multiple Cases: Opportunities to work with more than one client based on availability and scheduling compatibility.
